Many of you have probably seen the iconic heart with a dashed circle in the bottom corner of bloggers and influencers post on social media. Or maybe you have seen my posts that say something like “Screenshot to shop” or “Shop this post in the LIKEtoKNOW.it app.” I have had a few people ask questions on what this all means, so I figured I would do a little educational blog post about it to help you guys understand.
What is LIKEtoKNOW.it?
LIKEtoKNOW.it is a free downloadable app that creates a social shopping experience. I like to think of it as a shoppable Instagram. You gain access to thousands of bloggers and over 4,500 retailers all in one spot. It literally creates a one-stop-shop experience, making shopping for any product so much easier. The app has everything from home decor, fashion, fitness, beauty, kids, babies, and so so much more. You get to see the products styled by real people in real life because all of your favorite influencers and bloggers are linking the products they are using for you to shop them directly with the click of a button.
How to Use LIKEtoKNOW.it?
LIKEtoKNOW.it is similar to other social apps in that it has an explore page and a newsfeed. The newsfeed is showcased in chronological order and will show all the shoppable posts of the influencers you follow. The explore page is where you can search for products or influencers and it also shows you things you may like or be interested in. You will also have a favorites page where everything you have “liked” will be housed to make it easy to find again. Another feature that it offers is the ability to make a “collection” with all your likes. This just allows you to categorize all your likes and make them more organized so they are even easier to find. This is such a great feature to help you remember gift ideas throughout the year.
When scrolling through LIKEtoKNOW.it, you can either double-tap to like a photo, click the heart at the bottom of the photo. Or if you don’t love the whole outfit, you can click the heart of the item you are interested in. It is so simple! When you click on a photo, it will show you everything that is in that photo. Often times influencers will link similar items or the same item from different retailers in case one is offering a sale. When you click the item you are interested in, it takes you directly to the item on the retailer’s site, making it super easy to add to your cart and buy it. This is one of the many perks of the LIKEtoKNOW.it app. It saves shoppers so much time so they are not having to search all over the internet for products.
Scroll through your newsfeed of favorite influencers to shop or browse your likes to find your favorite products.

How To Know If A Photo Is Shoppable?
So, now how do we know if a photo is shoppable? Most influencers will specify in the comments with something like I mentioned earlier about “Shop this post in the LIKEtoKNOW.it app.” Or another good indicator is the heart in the bottom corner. The heart has a dashed circle around it and is either black or white. This indicates that you can screenshot the photo and it will automatically save to your likes on the LikeToKnow.IT app. It is essentially saving it for later when it is a more convenient time for you to shop.
Most bloggers, myself included, will also have the products linked on our blogs. There are two places that I have products linked on my blog. The first place you will find the products linked is when you click the link that is in my Instagram bio. or Facebook bio. This link will open to the landing page on my blog. From here, you will see a collage of 9 photos that says “Shop The Feed.” This is showing you all of my most recent LIKEtoKNOW.it photos. If you click any of those photos it takes you directly to the app so you can shop. The second place you can find links on my blog is at the bottom of each individual blog post. There are a few photos of the products with an arrow you can scroll through. And once again when you click a photo it takes you directly to LIKEtoKNOW.it to shop.
Click a photo to see all items in the photo and then click the item you are interested in to shop.

Why Use LIKEtoKnow.it?
One of the main, and probably the biggest reason to use LIKEtoKNOW.it is that it truly simplifies shopping online. With so many retailers in one spot, you can use it as a search engine to find products you are looking for. Also, there are specific perks for app users. Retailers will offer additional discounts for LIKEtoKNOW.it users that are only accessible within the app. Last year around Christmas, they did the 12 days of Christmas. Each day a new retailer offered a discount code for the app users.
This year, LIKEtoKNOW.it just announced that on July 19th they will be doing the annual LTK Day. On this day, retailers are offering special discounts for LTK app users.
